Twenty random things
Sep. 12th, 2005 11:55 amThis is all katnboots fault!
Write 20 random facts about yourself then tag the same amount of people as minutes it takes you to write the facts. If you're tagged it's your turn.
I have never lived in the same place for more than 10 years. Same general area, sure, but not the same place.
My parents have been divorced for nearly 28 years. My father's been remarried for 22 years in October, my mom 12 years in May.
In my particular generation of my family, I am the eldest.
I wrote my first complete, 50 page, illustrated sci-fi story at the age of 9.
I have never had a cavity (knock on wood).
I have never crossed either ocean, but really really want to!
I was able to do things left-handed after my accident due only to fencing. Following recovery of full use of my right hand, I am ambidextrous.
My mother was married to my father, Jim, whose brother is Bruce. Now she is married to my stepfather, Bruce, whose brother is Jim (and no, she did not marry my uncle).
I have been known to talk to myself, often while driving, when working things out that are rattling around my brain.
I nearly never remember dreams. I am, however, a decent dream interpreter - which I think is because I don't remember dreams.
I used to be completely terrified of spiders. Now I still don't like them, but I no longer run far away when I encounter them.
I was a lonely child, only had 1 or 2 friends before middle school - and spent inordinate amounts of time playing alone. I had a number of imaginary friends as a small child.
My best friend knows me better than anyone else ever has.
I have been overweight all my life, and battling it constantly.
I have attempted to learn 3 languages - Hebrew, German and Spanish. Of those, I have only retained a smattering of German.
In addition to my sister, whom I co-own a 2 family house with, I have 3 step-siblings, but only have contact with 1 step-brother.
I had nearly 2 years of voice training in HS. I used to have a 4 octave range, based in Baritone.
I am named for my mother's father, who died when she was only 2.
My grandfather was the head of the Reform and Conservative Jewish Community of Duluth, MN for quite a long time.
I fear that I will never be truly satisfied. Not with my relationships, my job, or myself, and this will leave me always wanting.
Now, who do I tag?
