I think I did a similar post a few months ago. Of course I'm a big proponent of the Litany of Fear.
My mother lives in fear. My father lived in fear. I was raised to fear.
And then I start riding horses... and working with dogs. Being around spooky animals who react to fear make you stop fearing pretty quick (or stop working with them). I learned that if you fear something, 9 times out of 10 it happens just as you feared it would. And that's not just around animals. Or, rather, we're all animals anyway. =)
So I prepare myself well and I take precautions. But I do my best not to fear.
Now the only thing I fear is not trying something. I fear never having given it my all.
