What to write, what to write?

fencerm2Ok, where DID the time go? Less than 10 days to the start of National Novel Writer's Month 2008!
A few weeks ago, I posted here asking for ideas. While some were...to be fair, more different than I wanted to go, one in particular stuck out -![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
weezeld suggested doing a spy-thriller techno-thriller story. I've done some of that sort of writing before, but not in a long time now. It might be a fun departure from my usual SF&F (and though he also suggested Horror, that, too, is a bit further outside my genre than I want to go).
Ok, so the genre is there - technology-spy thriller. I have a couple thoughts, but, for some reason, nothing is grabbing me. SO - LJ land, friends...plot/character/story-arc ideas solicited here!
