It's animated in the same style (and by the same people) as Nightmare before Christmas. It is a somewhat creepy but fantastic story. Neil Gaiman is an outstanding writer.

Date: 2009-02-07 02:44 am (UTC)I wish I could have loved it unreservedly, but they made enough design decisions that made me wince that...I like it a lot. I'll buy the DVD, I'd see it again in the theaters if someone wanted to go with me...hell, I'll see it again in the theatres if I can find it in 3D, 'cause I really want to see that.
Almost everything I adored about it was from the book. I thought they did an excellent job of transferring book to movie, although I have a few Major Issues, mostly right at the end. I did love the garden.
