Writing thoughts

I had a good Thanksgiving weekend. Good food, family, good friends - I have no complaints.

The clock is ticking, and the time to complete my NANO project is running out. Here's where I stand:

13,177 / 50,000 (26.4%)

Just over a quarter complete, and only 2.75 days to go. Guess what I'll be doing a lot of til Midnight on Wednesday?

This is not impossible - but it will not be easy, either. But I will do my best.

I've totally given up on the deadline this year--I didn't write at all over the long weekend. I can't decide if that's procrastination or me taking a much-needed break; probably both. I figure, I made the deadline last year but didn't finish the story; if I don't make it this year but still manage to finish the story next month, it's still a kind of victory--possibly even a better one, really.
