Well, ok, that may be a bit drastic - but I have sent a query to a prospective Agent to represent Seeker!

Please send out good thoughts and hopes that not only will this agent LOVE my work, but she will DEMAND to represent me, and then sell Seeker and the rest of The Source Chronicles for a ludicrous sum of money!!!

THEN it gets published, and I can begin my career as a professional author!

If you're gonna dream, dream big, dammit!

Good luck!

(Hm, you tell actors to break a leg...what do you say to writers? Break a pen? Jam the keys?)

Good luck! How did you find this agent, if I may as?

I have a subscription to Publisher's Marketplace, get daily blurbs, and a weekly update of deals listing author, to whom it was sold, and the agent involved. From there, I went to check on the agencies' web site...and chose an agent to name and submit to who handles young adult fiction (which is the pitch for this).

If this one says no, I have another lined up to check on next...but I am really hoping this agent will go for it.

Cool! That sounds like the perfect way to approach it. Much better than the "close your eyes and pick a name out of the Yellow Pages" technique.
