Next query

I have yet to hear back from the last agency I submitted to, and it has been too long now for me to wait anymore. They are interested - they will make contact, I guess.

But rather than wait, and wait - since it takes many, many rejections I am told, I chose another candidate, and mailed off a query letter to an agent today.

This agent is in Brooklyn. And I know he keeps a LiveJournal, too.

Need to discipline myself more - and write more. Among other things. Working on it.

Insomnia isn't much fun.

I've looked into this, some. I might give it a little more consideration down the line - but I really want to do this the real way.

Stubborn, I know - but I want very much to make a career out of this, and all the stuff I've seen mentions that self publishing isn't the road to take for this purpose.

But thank you for the suggestion.

You don't make any money self-publishing, and all the other writers will make fun of you. Especially Pat Elrod, in her writers' workshops. Trust me, I've heard her do it.
