Wow, stuff got done today!  I re-sewed some velcro on the cuffs of one of my fencing shirts, I began cleaning my blades, I started gathering and organizing my stuff for Pennsic, and got a haircut today.  Woo hoo.  Plus I had a guy come out and repair my a/c, which decided to stop working sometime yesterday.  Nice to not be in the tropics anymore!

More importantly than that - today marks SIX days of consecutive writing!  The big issue that slowed me was determining the appearance of a spaceship.  I am still trying to figure out what it would look like, before I try to describe it.

So things are decent.  Overall.  But I am sooooooooooooo totally looking forward to Pennsic next week!

Huzzah for writing getting done! :)

I'm at a co-worker's house; she's playing the piano now. I've got a wet towel draped around my shoulders against the heat, and the fan's going. Her mom just brought us in a little table, with dinner on it; two portions of rice, and bowls of kimchi and ... various other things covered in pepper I can't identify.

In case you were wondering.

Did you know that 'kimchi' doesn't necessarily refer to pickled cabbage, but any kind of fermented vegetable with pepper? One museum in Seoul has documented 187 kinds! (I prefer 오이소배기, oisobaegi, stuffed cucumber kimchi, myself.)

...And yes, there are kimchi museums. Museums, plural.
