I had this long, well thought out post all set to go - and IE crashed.  And its gone.  I have no interest in recomposing it.

lesson learned from experience....

a) get a LJ client (I use semajic)

if not a viable solution (e.g. at work), type it up in Notepad first, then cut & paste into the Journal Entry screen.

I used to have that problem all the time, so I switched to the Semagic client. It backs up periodically, and if it can't contact the LJ servers it will save your post until it can get through. Check it out!
