fencerm2 | Long week, preparing to travel

Gotta love working retail during the holidays. And just to add to the fun, because I am Doing-The-Right-Thing (TM) and going to Minnesota for a family thing this weekend, I have been over-scheduled all week. I have not had a day off now since last Thursday. And we have been really really busy at the store. So I'm getting a little burnt out.

I depart tomorrow afternoon for Minneapolis, and then come back Sunday night. Short trip, admittedly, but given the time of year and my job, it was the best I could manage.

I have mixed feelings about going back to MN. I moved to the East Coast because it has always been a far better fit for my personality. I have over the years lost touch with nearly all of my old friends from High School, so these trips are kinda bittersweet.

I gotta go run some errands before work today, so I am off. Sometimes I really wish I didn't need sleep.
