fencerm2: (Gimme the cash)

Not shocked.  Not shocked at all.

Shower yesterday morning - and wind up with 6 inches of standing water in my tub.  Use Draino, no change...call in the plumbers.

We have good, honest plumbers my sister and I have been using since just a few months after we moved in.  So they come - and check it all out.

The drain pipes are lead.  L-E-A-D.  And shot.  And need to be replaced.  Snaking 'em will just shred 'em.

Probable expense - $500  Three days before I leave on a 3 week vacation.

They return Friday morning.

On the plus side - if this is the only major nuisance with regards to my vacation - I will accept it and enjoy my trip.

Off to work!

We have the same problem, but so far it's not a crisis. We're hoping to just fix it when we re-do the kitchen. That's the plan anyway.

*crosses fingers*
