Developed at the NY Renaissance Faire today, while observing some truly BAD garb -

Gothaissance

Goth * ais * sance (adj) [goth-uh-sahns, -zahns, goth-uh-sahns, -zahns]  - of, pertaining to, or suggestive of the often poor combination of Goth and Renaissance costuming as found in pre-AoA SCAdians and Renaissance Faire attendees trying to garb themselves.  Usually laughable and cause for extreme snarkiness.

But it was entertaining.

I must say I enjoy this a LOT! and it is FAR too true! Although sometimes, it's for those who are gothy but have not yet attained enough actual garb or money to purchase that garb. ;-P Then you must just pity them... if you weren't already. :)
